The Decemberists came out with a new CD, The Hazards of Love, and I have been listening to it all day. I can't seem to stop. I'm listening to it right now. There is absolutely nothing like this band, at least in my experience. I love the story-telling aspect to their songs, the beautiful words they use, and how their subject matter is totally out there, way different than the usual.
U2 has a new CD coming. I have listened to some of it, and I don't remember being all that impressed. I was excited to find out they were finally having a tour, but disappointed when I saw they weren't coming anywhere near here.
Franz Ferdinand also has a new CD, Tonight. I do not have this one yet. They are also going to be at FIRST AVENUE IN MINNEAPOLIS ON APRIL 28! For the love of all things sacred and good in this world, somebody say they will come with me. I am BEGGING. I really am.
It must be in the air or something, because Bob Dylan is also coming out with a new album this spring, supposedly a blues-y album, which should be super-interesting.
There's more, but I have lost interest for now.
