I'm Springing

I just found out that the new Decemberists CD doesn't come out until March 24. But I've been listening to it non-stop the last couple of days.

Uhhh....I can totally explain...

Okay, I can't.

I'm thinking that suffering through winter is almost worth the coming-alive feeling that is springtime.

I'm thinking about this picture that I saw the other day of people in India celebrating the Festival of Colors and the coming of spring.

I'm thinking that would have been really fun. I might celebrate myself with some good Indian food. Or at least, my own version of a chickpea spinach curry. I bought some mango chutney and I could make some naan bread. Then the kids and I could go outside and celebrate the colors of the world.

I'm thinking I have a lot of spinach in my house. And a lot of mushrooms. And tempeh. I'm wondering if I can do anything with them together. I need to go to my favorite recipe websites and plug in the ingredients.

And I will be listening to the Decemberists while I cook. Because I have magical powers. Shhhh...
