Sunday Peace

This weekend I have barely stepped foot outside the house. It has been cold and constantly raining and dreary, and I am pretending that I can't see that. Things are fine in here. I found a single flea on Marley yesterday, so it was clean the house and vacuum everything, then give him a flea bath and some all-natural flea spray. Other than that, there has been a lot of cuddling with Grace, playing chess with Drew, doing laundry, watching movies, and relaxing.

I bought myself some new organic coffee - Organic Mayan Onyx dark roast. I also purchased some French Vanilla soy creamer. The quality of my life has increased exponentially. Holy shit!

I have been stuck on Chapter 10. Not stuck because I don't know what to write about, because I have it all outlined. Stuck because I am not sure how to do it, and I'm not sure if I am capable of doing it. The little monster inside me that tells me I am no good and just kidding myself rears its ugly head once in a while. I am fighting it with everything I have.

I will fight it off. I will win! Fuck you little monster!

I have found there is certain music that actually help my writing out and make it better. When I listen to it, the words just come pouring out and my fingers are flying over the keyboard. The music that works changes depending on what exactly I am writing. When I write the ending, it has to be the Beatles. Bon Iver is doing the job well right now. Whatever emotion that I need to have built up inside me for the story is available at any time thanks to the music collection on my laptop.

As soon as I get really into the story, my battery runs low. *sigh* Maybe I will take a nap.
