A Big Loser

I stepped on the scale today...weigh in day. I had lost a pound from last week. Then I went and peed. I stepped on the scale again and I had lost another half a pound.

Lesson? Pee first.

I have recently become more aware of how aware people are of me. I don't know why this is a surprise to me, as I am right here and this is a small town. I guess I am used to being anonymous and somewhat invisible.

They named my team the "All Natural Losers," because I am on the team.

The students have to take some standardized state test that they did poorly on last time and so we are working on the skills that are needed to get our school a better score. There is a writing portion of this testing, and two English teachers and YOURS TRULY are going to be reading the student's work and correcting it, making changes and suggestions, etc. I was not in the room, but I am betting the conversation went like this...

English teacher #1 - "Hmmm...we need another person to go over the essays. Somebody brilliant, who is great at writing and knows everything."

High School Principle: "Hey, let's ask Jade. She's a genius!"

OK, maybe it wasn't exactly like that. But I still feel pretty honored that they want me to help out.

Can you imagine the kind of weight loss I could accomplish if I actually exercised? I mean, like on a regular basis? Here's to hoping that day will come soon.
