Excitement and Nervousness

Tomorrow is election day. Never in my life have I ever been so excited to vote! I want to have a party. Who wants to come over for chips and guacamole while we watch election coverage on TV?? I'm also nervous, because things could go horribly wrong. After the last presidential election, anything could happen and it would not surprise me. There are also many questions buzzing through my brain. Will it be a close race? Will it go late into the night? Will it all get fucked up somehow because this country has no uniform voting system? Are some of the computers actually rigged to have McCain win? Will Obama get assassinated if he becomes president, like so many people have told me?

Stay tuned to find out. And please please VOTE!!!!

I know, I'm so excited too. I wish I could take the day off just to keep track of election coverage or to wander around town to see if there's any cool or crazy demonstrations going on. When I walked downtown earlier today to pick up our car from the mechanic, I saw Obama demonstrators with signs on the corner by the library. And after walking out of Cub Foods an hour ago, I saw a torn-up sign on the sidewalk that said "Obama Supports Murdering Unborn Babies." This just feels like the biggest day of our lives coming up.
