Magnetic Poetry

I got a Magnetic Poetry set from my dad one year for Christmas or something because I had always wanted one. Finally one day I opened it and put all the words on the refrigerator, playing around with it and coming up with a few poems. It was fun, and challenging, because I could only use the words I had in front of me. And when I left the poem up, I could see my words every time I walked by. Sadly, the kids' artwork took over the refrigerator door, and I had to put my little magnetic words away for something I can do when the kids get a little older, like doing jigsaw puzzles or using the bathroom alone. This poem was my favorite that I created during that brief time, and it describes me well.

Magnetic Poem #2

I will devour delicious poetry
Celebrate the healing magic
of words
explore joy
drink warm coffee
embrace peace
listen & remember everything
speak nakedly of life
breathe deeply
& live brilliantly
