It seems my summer so far can be summed up in three words: Rain, Mosquitoes, Allergies.

Not that I am completely miserable. I mean, staying up late, sleeping in, getting the mail in my pajamas, reading Harry Potter books again, cuddling with Grace every morning, fresh fruits and veggies, smoothies, salads, booze with friends and family, music, movies, working on my book...this is what I wait for every year. We just haven't been outside as much as we usually are. The mosquitoes are UNBELIEVABLE 24 hours a day around here.

The city put a new street light in and it's like the freaking sun is shining in my windows.

I bought the new Cloud Cult CD, Light Chasers, today and am listening to it right now.

It occurred to me today that when I listen to their music, I believe that I understand the meaning of life.

Grace pushed aside her burger at McDonalds the other day and said, "I can't eat that. I'm a veggie-tarian."

Drew is joining Tae Kwon Do. I think he really needs this, and he is so excited. I have been really worried about him...

I am planning a day to myself...I am not even sure I should write about it, lest I jinx it. I am going to get a massage, go to my eye appointment, get some food at my fave place, check out the library, and probably buy myself a vegan mocha frappuccino from Starbucks. Because I deserve it.

Anyone want to watch my kids on Friday?
