Supernatural

My husband Todd had kidney stone surgery in April. It was pretty awful, but one good thing came out of it. While lying around on the couch looking for something good on TV, he came across a show he had never seen before. He then told me about this show called Supernatural.

I admit I wasn't expecting much - maybe just a show that would be at least better than the other crap on TV, something to watch if you are bored and too lazy to do anything else.

Holy shit - if this show was a woman we would totally be having a threesome. We are madly in love with it, and we can't get enough. I had no idea this show ever existed - I guess because I don't usually watch anything on the WB, and I don't even know if I get that channel. But TNT is running the show twice a day every weekday. While Todd was on vacation a couple of weeks ago, it rained all days but one, and the highlight of our day was watching this show together.

This show has some great things going for it. It reminds me a little bit of The X-Files. Likable characters, good effects, creepiness, cool stories, pop culture references, a beautiful car, great music, humor, angst, ghosts, demons, witchcraft, psychic powers, action, tension, suspense...and these guys:



You can't see me right now but I am swooning.

We are completely hooked, caught up in the lives of the characters, creeped out by some of the stories (everybody does NOT love a clown), and always anxious to find out what happens next.

My DVR is set to record every episode, and I wait until Todd comes home at night to watch it with him. We missed the first season, but I think we are somewhere at the beginning of the second season now. Todd has been working late, so right now there are six unwatched episodes on my DVR. Some night we are going to be staying up waaaay too late watching them, because once we start, we can't stop.

How much fun is that?
