A Guitar!!

When I was a teenager both John and April taught me how to play guitar. April lent me a slightly out of tune electric guitar with no amp to practice on. One day my dad came home from a garage sale, very excited, and presented me with an acoustic guitar he had purchased for three dollars. "Now I will be able to hear you play," he said. He gave me money for some new strings. April and I bought some strings at a music shop, strung up the guitar and tuned it up. It was out of tune again by the time I got home. And then it broke shortly after. But I will never forget my dad's enthusiasm at hearing me play. Later John bought me an electric guitar that I still have, but never play.

Today I found a small kid-size acoustic guitar at a garage sale for three dollars. It's purple. Obviously, I had to buy it. I told Garrett and Drew I would teach them how to play a few chords. I tried to tune it by ear, or by playing "Driver 8" like I used to, but I am very rusty. So with the help of this website, I was finally able to get this thing into tune. I am going to see if I remember all those Bob Dylan and REM songs I used to love to play. My house might not get cleaned today...
