What's Going On?

Things are getting really weird around here.

The other day I was asked if I would like to help start up a book discussion at the library for the vampire series. I love how it was assumed that a) I would know WHICH vampire series was to be discussed (there is more than one), and b) I would be all gung-ho for it. No thank you. It's like some sort of virus has infected the planet. People are dropping like flies all around me and I am one of the few that is immune.

The search for a loaf of bread or a bun that does not contain milk has become a Mission:Impossible assignment. The other day I stood in the aisle at the grocery store, facing the bread. My kids were racing my cart full of food up and down the aisle, laughing, sliding across the floor, running into things. I was so angry I was swearing. "Is this some kind of cruel joke?" I yelled, throwing loaf after loaf back onto the shelf. I swear they have all decided just recently to add milk to their bread. Just to piss me off. (I really did yell that. But I may have exaggerated my children's behavior a tad.)

We are almost halfway through June and my furnace is still on.

Today while hitting Stumble! I came across articles about the HPV vaccine Gardasil TWO TIMES. WTF? Naturally, they were totally in favor of the vaccine. Now they are thinking it would be good for older women too, not just adolescents. Of course...and next they will be strongly encouraging men over 60 to get the shot too, just in case. For $360 a pop, that would just make them a shitload more money.

Yeah, so I am sitting around drinking coffee, clicking on Stumble! multiple times. It's summer vacation. Give me a break.

I could have sworn I commented on this the other day. Guess I forgot to hit "Publish Comment" or got distracted or something.

And who WOULDN'T be all gung-ho about hosting a discussion group in honor of That Vampire Series? If you enjoy reading at all, then there's no question you must simply adore those books, right?
