Basketball Fun

Last night Garrett and the other 3-4 grade basketball players had a halftime show during a high school championship game. I was there, so I also took pictures of the show and the game for the paper. It was a lot of fun, but I wish I had a better camera that can take live action photos. The players are moving too fast for me to get any great shots, but I did get a few good ones. I also got video of Garrett's show, which was really cute.

It was kind of a crazy night. I ate some french fries and tater tots on the way, then ate popcorn at the game, then had some of Grace's fries on the way home. To make me feel less guilty, I did have a smoothie. We didn't get home until after 10 p.m., and then Grace was wired from the Coke she drank and would not stop talking in my bed until after midnight. Then I forgot to turn my alarm clock on. This morning I woke up and looked at my clock and saw that it was time to get up. I can't believe I didn't oversleep.

My school won the game (seriously kicked butt) and will be playing again this weekend. It was the first time I had ever seen one of their games, and it was fun watching the kids I know play a sport that I am learning to enjoy.
