Out of the mind of a writing mother of three comes this rambling. Sometimes poetry, sometimes stories about my kids, mostly what I need to get out of my head and into words.

Test Results Revisited
Well, I finally got a hold of a nurse today to give me some test results. Still have to wait to talk to the doctor until next week. Grace's endoscopy went well, and everything looked good. No celiac disease, no inflammation. So we did some more blood tests. Checked for lots of foods. All week I have been imagining that they would give me a long list of things she tested positive for. Well, the only new thing was oats. So there goes the daily oatmeal breakfast. The number for wheat went up a little, and the numbers for dairy and egg went down a little, which is good. They didn't recheck the peanut. That's her worst one. Unfortunately. So I will take her off wheat (again) and off oats. Hopefully her skin will clear up. It's looking bad today, and I am starting to think she is having a reaction to the amoxicillin she is on for yet another ear infection. She shouldn't even be on the damn stuff, but that's for another blog. This rash has spread all over her body throughout the day, and it's not her normal eczema. Who knows? I will call the doctor tomorrow. Take her off the damn stuff. I'm so sick of it. I know it's wearing down her immune system, messing with the good bacteria in her gut. And she lost a little weight too. She has officially fallen off the growth chart. She will get back on though. For two days she just sat in my lap with a fever drinking her bottle. Even as her fever raged at 104 degrees, every time the Kia commercial came on where the people sing that song from the Sound of Music, she would wiggle all over and smile this little smile. The cutest thing I ever saw. Her appetite is returning too, today at Wal-Mart we were getting groceries and she was scarfing down grapes that had not been washed and I didn't know what to do because she was hungry and screaming so I let her. Even bit them in half for her. Then she got all these red spots around her mouth, probably from some pesticide or something on them. She was screaming the whole time they were ringing up all these groceries I got, which took FOREVER, then we were walking away and bags of stuff were falling off my cart because it was so freaking full. And here she is eating dirty grapes. I almost laughed, but I was too shocked at the total the lady gave me. Jesus. How did I spend $220?
